Staff Accountant
Job Description
- Manage the AR collections process, including monitoring outstanding accounts receivables, submitting weekly reports of customer account status to management and processing credit application.
- Prepare journal entries during monthly close as well as analyze cost center line item detail for accuracy and reasonableness;
- Prepare and review monthly Balance Sheet account analysis and reconciliation;
- Maintenance of fixed asset inventory database;
- Assist with year-end close, and participate in the YE internal inventory audit;
- Filing of multi-state sales tax and sales tax audit (as requested);
- Verification of time and attendance for biweekly payroll;
- Provide additional support to the Accounting/Finance team as needed.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, 1-2 years of related Accounting experience.
Skills
- Proficient with networked PC based computer systems including MS Office, Excel spreadsheets, Mail, payroll, accounting software and other ERP systems.
- A self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and short deadlines
- Ability to excel in cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism at all times, handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Working Conditions
Full time in normal office working conditions;
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting.
Physical Requirements
Some light lifting of boxed files may be required.
Safety Requirements

The General Accountant will handle a wide variety of tasks within the Accounting function that will include monthly close processes, account reconciliations, and AR collections. This position will also be responsible for, but not limited to, filing of sales tax (and audits), maintenance of fixed asset database and assisting with year-end inventory audit.
