We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Americas Accounting team.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of general ledger and accounting functions. This position is best suited for an adaptive individual with a strong analytical mindset, verbal/written communications skills, project management ability, and attention to detail.

This role will serve as an accounting business partner to various stakeholders on technical and complex issues and will have a continued focus on improving processes and procedures. This role will report to the Director of Accounting.

Let's talk about Responsibilities

  • The primary objective of General Accounting specialization within Accounting & Reporting Job Family is to maintain daily financial transaction processes and ensure they are recorded accurately; operate efficiently and meet company policy and legislative requirements.
  • Key responsibilities include developing, implementing and/or maintaining one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, etc.
  • Timely and accurate completion of payroll journals entries.
  • Completion of bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts.
  • Management of the intercompany process.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, with detailed support and resolve any variances.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close, including preparing and recording accruals timely and accurately.
  • Participates in annual financial audit and SOX audits.
  • Partners with other departments to find resolution on accounting issues.
  • Works closely with the tax team to capture sales and use tax.
  • May assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue and expense items, in accordance with the company policies.
  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Develops solutions to a variety of problems. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
  • Other projects, as assigned.

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial analysis, general accounting, and ERP system financial process flows.
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical capabilities along with excellent organization and communication skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivating and willing to take ownership.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

Subject to the absolute discretion of the company, this role is eligible for an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is:

60,000.00 - 75,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD Annual

For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
