Staff Accountant

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with management of the company's finance and accounting department. This position will also assist the Controller with other duties, special projects, and analyses as required.

Responsibilities include:

Accounts Payable - key member of the accounts payable function for all business units.

• Invoice and payment processing
• Reconcile vendor statements, expense reports and handle payment complaints and discrepancies
• Review freight bills for inappropriate charges
• Review and flag appropriate A/P aging
• Process wire transfer requests and charge card payments

Accounts Receivable - key member of the accounts receivable function for all business units.

• Review automated invoicing system for any discrepancies and correct
• Post payments to customer accounts
• Entering all invoices into system
• Establishing relationships with customers and facilitate collections
• Process charge card payments from customers

Reporting, Projects, Analytics

• Perform A/P and A/R reconciliations, analysis, and projects as required
• Complete reports for all operating rhythms

Education and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong research and analytical skills, and excellent time management
• Strong knowledge of Excel (advanced functions), proficient in Microsoft Office
• Possess the aptitude to multi-task with a teamwork work style
• Knowledge of accounting to include receivables, payables, account reconciliations, and month end close
• Ability to learn proprietary software system
• Associate's degree in accounting

Preferred Qualifications

• Aviation industry and Quantum experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
