Staff Accountant

Our client, a dynamic non-profit located in the Arlington, VA area, is seeking a staff accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity due to some growth in the organization. The ideal candidate will have one or more years' of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit setting, advanced Excel skills, and will be available to start immediately.

Primary Responsibilities:

• GL maintenance and account reconcilation
• Assist with audit activities
• Full cycle responsibility of both AP and AR
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and budget preparation

• 1+ years' experience in a GL accounting role (preferably in a non-profit)
• BS in Accounting or other business related field
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Available to start immediately
