Job Description

Pay Range: $67,000 to $76,000 per year

Purpose of Position:

Support Operations and Financial Management to achieve their stated objectives by providing analytical reports of performance and maintaining an accurate period close. The close process includes completing assigned journal entries, researching unusual account balances, completion of balance sheet account analysis and distribution of final reports to live operations management.

Essential Job Functions:

• Create and analyze weekly/period end production reports; variance reporting that focuses on performance and spending, closed flock summaries for grow out ranches.
• Responsible for Grow out period close journal entries and reporting
• Inventory reconciliation of bird inventory for Grow out ranches.
• Budget preparation and analysis of Overhead and Live Budgets.
• Reconcile Monthly Account Analysis Worksheets. 
• Continually improve reporting processes for time savings and operational insight
• Ad hoc requests from Operations and Finance.

Additional Functions:

• Special projects as assigned by Sr. Accounting Supervisor as well as Live Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• B.S. degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• One-three years accounting experience
• Computer skills- SAP, BW, MTech, Cognos, Excel, Word
• Knowledge of financial and cost systems, spreadsheets and relational data bases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have the ability to understand complex costing models.
• Be a self-starter, detail-oriented and well organized.
• Have the ability to work within strict timeframes in order to meet deadlines.

Preferred Requirements:

• Two-four years cost accounting experience.
• Analytical ability and experience

Physical Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to have consistent attendance.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work on the computer for long periods of time
