Job Description

EBA&D seeks an accomplished professional for the position of Staff Accountant, reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Fixed Asset subledger; including monitoring of CIP, capitalization / disposal / depreciation of assets, monthly account reconciliations, and journal entries• Perform standard, re-occurring and adjusting journal entries for month-end close• Reconcile balance sheet accounts• Maintain documentation to prepare sales and use tax filings• Perform account analysis and trend analysis• Support weekly / bi-weekly payroll as needed; run reports, perform payroll journal entries, reconcile GL accounts• Perform AR / Cash application; post customer payments and cash receipts, process check / ACH disbursements and wire transfers, process credits, reconcile accounts• Update documentation of accounting policies and procedures• Identify and implement process improvements as necessary• Process purchasing card and T&E card requests• Support the year-end audit process including preparation of audit schedules and assistance with obtaining necessary documentation• Support AP processing as needed• Performing other accounting, financial, or analytical tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance• Strong mathematical and analytical skills • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively• Ability to read and analyze financial reports• Good business acumen and ability to work cross functionally• High attention to detail
