Staff Accountant

The Role
As a Staff Accountant at Green Thumb Industries, you will be responsible for supporting accounting operations on our finance team. You will need to wrap your arms around monthly closing responsibilities, journal entries, reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable for GTI and its subsidiaries. You possess strong business acumen with the ability to effectively address both financial and operational challenges.
Responsibilities

• Supports all functions of the retail accounting team including journal entries, bank reconciliation, cash reconciliation, account reconciliations and month-end close
• Performs bank reconciliations across all subsidiaries daily, including the reconciliation of cashless customer payments
• Reconciles, reports, and reviews all daily cash activity related to the retail business, including physical cash, petty cash, and cashless transactions
• Reviews supporting documentation from the retail business partners and for compliance with company policy
• Assists with the preparation of weekly financial reports
• Prepares month-end close reconciliations
• Engages in ad hoc projects and workflow process improvements as requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field preferred
• 2+ year experience in accounting
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office required
• Experience in Sage Intacct preferred
• Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness

• Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
