Staff Accountant

AmpThink is looking to add a staff accountant to our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the organization's finance functions. These functions include maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. This role involves direct interaction with company leadership.

The Staff Accountant will be expected to:

• Assist with all aspects of accounting functions (financial reporting, A/P, A/R, payroll, administrative duties), maintaining financial policies and procedures for a strong system of internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local laws.
• Assist with human resource needs including interviewing, onboarding, record keeping and benefit management
• Assist with vendor management including documentation, payment processing, and statement reconciliation
• Assist with gathering information for annual review and tax returns
• Assist with sales tax reporting in multiple jurisdictions
• Assist with implementing strong accounting policies
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Office with particularly strong Microsoft Excel skills and Zoho Suite

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a bachelor's degree in accounting
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Possess a strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Possess a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Must be self-motivated and self-directed
