About this opportunity:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager at Freenome, the Staff Accountant role will be responsible for supporting month-end and year-end close process, month end accruals, lease accounting, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and assist with postings and reconciliations to the general ledger.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with the month-end close and financial statement generation process
  • Manage month end accrual process
  • Maintain lease accounting
  • Perform general ledger journal entries and reconciliations in support of month-end close
  • Assist the accounting team with the preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Process cash transactions and reconcile all bank accounts, including investment accounts
  • Assist with sales & use and property tax filings and tax audits
  • Accounts Receivable - customer billing, processing and reconciling customer payments, aging review, answer customer questions as needed
  • Year-end close and working with external auditors
  • Perform Ad-hoc projects as required

Must haves:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including strong Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, Month-end Close, and Financial Statement preparation experience
  • NetSuite experience required
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel
  • Minimum of a BS in Accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills and organization skills
  • Strong attention to Detail
  • Able to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to multitask

Nice to haves:

  • Expensify T&E reporting system experience
  • Credit card reconciliations

Benefits and additional information:

The US target range of our base salary for new hires is $89,250 - $135,000. You will also be eligible to receive pre-IPO equity, cash bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits dependent on the position offered.  Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.
