Pay Range: $67,000 to $75,000 per year

Purpose of Position:

Support Operations and Financial management to achieve their stated objectives by providing analytical reports of performance and maintaining an accurate general ledger close. The close process includes completing assigned journal entries, researching unusual account balances, completion and distribution of final reports to plant management. Supervision of Plant Accounting clerk. Assist plant controller with annual budgeting for the facility and periodic review of BOM's and Routings for updates. Provide back-up to plant controller and clerical staff.

Essential Job Functions:

Preparation of all daily and weekly plant performance reports including yield and labor efficiency reports and preparation of weekly P&L's for management.

Research questions from management regarding weekly variances.

Preparation of journal entries for period and year-end close.

Prepare account analysis worksheets and take corrective action to resolve any issues

resulting from their preparation.

Prepare, review and assist plant management with bill of materials and prepare.

Assist in preparing annual budgets and assist in taking of physical inventories on product and materials.

Develop and update detailed desk procedures for all recurring job tasks and train and

develop clerk/clerks that work in the department

Develop, analyze and provide plant management with appropriate analysis which reveals and defines problems that can be acted upon by management to reduce cost, gain efficiencies, and redirect efforts.

Assist plant management and Plant Controller in special assignments as needed and back-up clerical staff and Plant Controller when necessary.

Supervision and development of plant clerical staff.

Additional Functions:

Special projects as assigned by Plant Controller.

Will present weekly performance report to operations

Ad Hoc reporting upon request by Operations.

Any other duties deemed necessary by management

Minimum Requirements:

B.S. degree in accounting or related field strongly preferred.

One-three years accounting experience

Computer skills- SAP, Office 2007 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.), Kronos, WMS, and BW

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Be a self-starter, detail-oriented and well organized.

Have the ability to work within strict timeframes in order to meet deadlines.

Preferred Requirements:

Two-four years cost accounting experience.

Analytical ability and experience

Physical Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation.

Must be able to have consistent attendance.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Must be able to work on the computer for long periods of time
