Description

The Staff Accountant supports the accounting team in ensuring the month-end close procedures are completed timely and accurately. This position will perform a variety of accounting and financial systems assignments to support the production of consistent, quality financial statement information and reports that may be ad hoc in nature to meet management needs and requirements. Responsibilities will include monthly analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, preparing journal entries and resolving certain accounting problems. • Support cash management activities, including, but not limited to, recording all accounting related transactions and activities.• Responsible for reconciling Balance Sheet accounts specifically assigned from month to month, with a complete understanding of procedural and technical aspects of each account.• Assist in the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries and following up on other assigned duties relating to the close.• Assist with internal and external audits.• Report Month over Month and Quarterly variances on assigned Balance Sheet accounts.• Maintain/improve existing internal controls.

Supports the accounting team in implementing process improvements • Supports the preparation of ad hoc assignments as needed.

Qualifications

About You:

Basic Qualifications:• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.• Strong overall working knowledge of US GAAP. • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance is required.

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in working for SAAS company preferred but not required• Proficient in Microsoft D365 program is a plus. • 2-4 years of work experience preferred
