Job Description

As a Staff Accountant, you will work with the Corporate Accounting team to support the monthly accounting processes within a fast-paced, global company. This position focuses on managing balance sheet accounts with a strong emphasis on cash reconciliation. Experience in aligning foreign financial statements is important, as is the ability to perform bank reconciliations for both domestic and foreign accounts.
This is a full-time, remote position. Benefits include Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance; 401k with company match and PTO. The work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30a -5:30p Eastern time. 
Job Responsibilities include:

  • Generate timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct general ledger analysis and perform account reconciliations.
  • Manage financial records for subsidiaries by evaluating balance sheets and ledger accounts.
  • Align foreign financial statements with US GAAP standards.
  • Validate coding of department transactions and GL accounts.
  • Perform reconciliations for both domestic and foreign bank accounts.
  • Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries.
  • Support variance analysis during the closing process.
  • Create special reports and handle projects to provide financial insights as needed.
  • Develop and uphold global accounting policies.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude while contributing to the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
  • Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of accounting experience, including general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and overall proficiency in MS Office are essential.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP standards and experience in aligning foreign financial statements are important.
  • The ability to perform bank reconciliations for both domestic and foreign accounts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and excellent organizational skills, follow-up abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create special reports and handle financial projects.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities is crucial.
  • The ability to develop and uphold global accounting policies.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with internal teams are required.
  • Maintaining a professional and positive attitude while contributing to the organization is essential.

Additional Considerations:

  • Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Practical accounting experience is a plus.
  • International accounting and consolidation experience and familiarity with IFRS are a plus.
