About the Job

The right individual will have 2-5 years of accounting experience and showcase strong analytical skills and independent problem solving. This Staff Accountant must be able to own the books for either a retail or cultivation location from entries to reconciliation.  As a Staff Accountant, this person will be an integral part of the Connected brand as we continue to grow and expand.

What You Will Do

• Prepare journal entries in conjunction with month end close. 

• Prepare balance sheet schedules timely and accurately, researched variances when applicable. 
• Reconcile daily revenue and expenses from Dispensaries and liaise with retail managers. 
• Analyze accounting data to resolve account discrepancies
• Prepare and analyze tax filings for gross receipts, cultivation, and sales and use taxes
• Assist management with year end financial audits and jurisdictional tax audits
• Other ad hoc requests as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

• Must be 21+ years of age
• Bachelor’s Degree, accounting concentration or related coursework preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience, experience with multiple entities preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong MS Office Suite skills

• Large ERP experience preferred (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, Acumatica)

Compensation Description (annually): The salary range for this position in the selected city is $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.

• Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
• Requires normal hearing range.
• Workplace is an office setting.
