Billing Analyst

As the Billing Analyst, you’ll …
- Prepare and process accurate and timely invoices for clients in compliance with contractual terms and company policies.
- Review billing data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established billing guidelines.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to validate service delivery and resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Generate and distribute invoices via Lob’s billing system, ensuring appropriate documentation and supporting records are attached.
- Upload invoices into customer’s portals on a timely basis
- Monitor and track outstanding client payments, ensuring timely collection and reducing overdue balances.
- Perform regular AR reconciliations and aging analysis to maintain up-to-date records.
- Address client inquiries regarding billing issues, payment status, and outstanding balances in a professional and customer-oriented manner.
- Work closely with the collections team to escalate unresolved payment issues and implement collection strategies when necessary.
- Utilize Lob’s accounting system (NetSuite) to its full potential for billing, AR management, and reporting functions.
- Stay up-to-date with system updates and enhancements, ensuring efficient use and adherence to best practices.
- Prepare and present regular reports on billing and AR metrics, analyzing trends and variances to management.
- Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting related to billing and AR activities.
- Participate in financial meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimize billing processes and reduce outstanding AR.
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline billing and AR processes, implementing efficiency measures to enhance productivity.
What will you bring to this role…
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Billing Analyst or similar role, with a focus on billing and accounts receivable management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate meaningful reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel is a must

(Tier 1) = San Francisco Bay Area
Base Range: $102,500.00 - $112,500.00
(Tier 2) = LA/Orange County/Seattle/NYC Metro Area
Base Range: $97,375.00 - $106,875.00
(Tier 3) = San Diego
Base Range: $92,250.00 - $101,250.00
(Tier 4) = Colorado
Base Range: $87,125.00 - $95,625.00
(Tier 5) = Other geographic areas 120+ miles from one of the above mentioned geo’s
Base Range: $82,000.00 - $90,000.00
