What role we’re hiring for:
We are a growing fintech organization looking to add a Staff Accountant reporting directly to our Controller in Austin, Texas!
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- Assist in the execution of the month-end close and reconciliation process
- Assist in the creation of reporting packages for both internal and external users of the financials
- Participation in both the AP and AR processes with assistance and guidance from the Controller
- Assist with the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen the Company’s internal control environment
- Participate in the streamlining of workflows, processes, and standard operating procedures
- Liaise with both domestic and international external consultants to facilitate audit compliance, tax compliance, and regulatory compliance requirements in the countries we have operations in
- Assisting in the implementation and administration of innovative platforms to help improve the efficiency, effectiveness, or accuracy of the Accounting Function
What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role:
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience in either public or corporate accounting, or both
- A working understanding of US GAAP theory and application; bonus if you know IFRS!
- Experience with NetSuite and consolidated financial reporting for multi-currency, multi-entity, or multi-national operations
