Staff Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing team! In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, from processing transactions and reconciling accounts to assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures. We are seeking a dedicated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a consistent on-site presence (Monday-Friday) in our Maitland, Florida office.

WHAT HELIOS NEEDS FROM YOU:

• Process financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and accruals.
• Maintain strong internal controls to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Assist the team in all items related to completing month-end deadlines which can include helping enter AP, AR & journal entries as directed by managers.

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Helios' compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay for this position ranges from $25/hour to $30/hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Helios compensation may also include annual bonus, commissions, equity, sign-on payments, as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
