RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for a Staff Accountant to become a part of our superior workforce in our corporate office in Herndon, VA. The Staff Accountant will assist the accounting manager as needed and respond to information requests by management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain financial records and reports, perform account reconciliations, assist with budget and close processes, and maintain accounts payable documentation.
- Ensure contract compliance by monitoring contract modifications; Preparing Annual Service Contract Compliance Data; and updating Employee Timesheet to reflect updated bill rate
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes.
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury.
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
- Assist the accounting manager as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years in accounts payable and receivable
- 3+ years in accounting or auditing experience
- Two years of relevant experience in a government contracting environment
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Must be a problem solver, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to multitask
- Should be a team player
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience
