Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team with expertise in journal entries. In this role you will be responsible for leading the preparation and posting of journal entries performing complex reconciliations and providing guidance to junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and proven experience in general ledger accounting.
Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation and posting of journal entries ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes including review of journal entries and financial statements.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff including training and mentoring.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors on audit-related matters.
Participate in financial reporting and analysis activities as needed.
