Staff Accountant

Job Title:Staff Accountant Location:Redwood City, CA (Onsite) Pay Rate:$35/hour Position Overview: An opportunity is available for an experiencedStaff Accountantin Redwood City, CA. This role is key to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting operational and compliance efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to leadership • Assist with audits, SOX testing, and compliance with GAAP and internal policies • Collaborate with teams to support manufacturing or service operations • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in accounting processes Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience • Understanding of GL functions; experience in service or cost accounting preferred • Strong time management and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks • Excellent customer service and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with ERP systems, especially Oracle R12 • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Pay Details:$24.00 to $35.00 per hour Search managed by:Riley Grubbs Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
