Staff Accountant
Job Description
We are looking to add a Staff Accountant to our Team! The ideal candidate is someone with at least three years experience in a similar role or a role with growing responsibilities. Experience in a retail company with high volume inventory turns is preferred.
Responsibilities:
β’ Ensure AP invoices are entered timely, accurately and are paid in accordance with vendor negotiated terms
β’ Payment processing, including running AP aging report, watching terms and taking advantage of discounts available and make payments within provided terms
β’ Process non-PO invoices by verifying receipts, supporting documentation, G/L coding, and appropriate approvals in accordance with established delegation of authority matrix
β’ Maintain accounting records by filing and indexing invoices, review open invoices weekly
β’ Reconcile vendor statements and resolve accounts payable issues with vendors
β’ Prepare documentation for wire payments
β’ Assist in the conversion and verification process of vendor ACH
β’ Complete monthly consignment payments
β’ Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers and vendors, including vendor inquiries and new vendor setup
β’ Liaise with Purchasing for purchase price discrepancies (under Controller's guidance)
β’ Assist in month end AP accruals, i.e. bank reconciliation, month-end Journal entries, AP Audit
β’ Respond timely to account payable related inquires (including, but not limited to, via phone and email)
β’ Assist in providing necessary documentation during annual audits
β’ Administer T&E costs, review and process employee expense reports
β’ Monitor cash daily
β’ Liaise with Rentals landlords
β’ Back up Payroll function to cover time off
β’ Perform other assigned tasks by Controller
Requirements:
β’ Must be at least 18 years or older
β’ Bachelorβs Degree or Minimum 4-year relevant experience in similar role
β’ High degree of attention to detail
β’ Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, high volume work environment
β’ Ability to problem solve and make decisions
β’ Proactive, can-do attitude with strong time management and organizational skills
β’ Strong analytical capabilities including at least intermediate MS Office skills, particularly Excel
β’ Autonomous, pro-active, and results focused
β’ Able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment while maintaining priorities and meeting deadlines
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills
β’ Experience with Epicor is a HUGE plus!

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
