Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
β’ Job Cost and General Accounting for a rapidly growing multi-state, multi-entity Union Specialty Contractor with over 200 employees
β’ Assists with preparation of the weekly Cashflow Forecast
β’ Reconciles bank account activity daily, weekly, and for month-end close
β’ Audits vendor statements and obtains and routes missing invoices to ensure that all invoices are approved and posted.
β’ Coordinates efforts with AP Specialist, Purchasing and Receiving to ensure deadlines and commitments are met, while maintaining segregation of duties and internal control procedures.
β’ Initiates ACH payments, check runs, Agilex E-Pay payments, and company credit card and fuel card payments according to approved disbursements per weekly Cashflow.
β’ Responsible for tracking, recording, and job costing credit card transactions and reconciling statements for two credit card accounts and over thirty card holders
β’ Responsible for downloading and recording WEX fuel card transactions for all company vehicles
β’ Oversees Agilex E-Pay program - coordinates with vendors to maximize use & rebates, ensures timeliness of payments, provides remittance detail to vendors & applies payments to invoices.
β’ Reconciles and records monthly Enterprise vehicle maintenance and lease program activity, reconciles Visual Lease activity, and records monthly Lease accounting entries (per ASC 842)
β’ Reconciles Un-invoiced Purchases, Prepaid Expenses, and various other accounts, prepares journal entries, and completes other Month-end Close duties as assigned.
β’ Assists with annual Budget, Audit, and Physical Inventory as needed.
β’ Completes Special Projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
β’ Bachelorβs Degree in Accounting or Finance from a university or major accredited program
β’ At least one year of relevant Accounting experience or willing to train recent graduate.
β’ Experience working in an ERP System environment (Intercompany Accounting a plus).
β’ Proficiency in Excel and MS Office suite.
β’ Detail oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and as a teammate in a fast-paced environment.
Need someone sharp, strong in Excel, with good organizational, time-management, and communication skills. Construction ERP system and job costing experience are pluses, but willing to train.
