Staff Accountant, AR

Advantive is looking for a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join a collaborative and growing team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, a great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

The Staff Accountant will be supporting the revenue team, promote excellent customer service, accurate billing practices, prompt customer payments, detailed department record keeping and support ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices and statements in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
• Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
• Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Lead and other staff.
• Collaborates with the revenue team to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis.
• Assist external and internal audits.
• Support the revenue team with ad hoc projects and process improvements
• Performs other administrative and operational duties as required.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

• Associates' degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3+ years of Accounts Receivable or relevant experience
• Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable integrity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple duties and work independently
• Flexibility and comfort with continuous change, willingness to take on challenges, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel to Tampa on a quarterly basis

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce
• Experience with ASC606
• Experience with M&A, and Private Equity backed SaaS
