Staff Accountant

Staff accountant needed for a temp-to-hire opportunity! Our client, a growing government contractor, requires a staff accountant to add to their current accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a BS in either accounting or finance, along with previous experience working in Costpoint. Previous experience in Government contracts and cost accounting is required!

Primary Responsibilities:

• General ledger accounting to include month-end and year-end close
• Account reconciliation and analysis as well as journal entries
• Revenue recognition review and analysis
• Accounts payable posting and approval
• Preparation and analysis of AR on a weekly basis

• 5+ years' progressive accounting experience within a government contracting setting
• Solid understanding of the following: CAS, GAAP, DCAA Auditing standards, and FAR
• Costpoint experience required
• Advanced Excel and Access
