Staff Accountant

Midtown CPA firm is seeking a Staff Accoutant to joins its growing team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare corporate, partnership, fiduciary and individual tax returns
• Prepare Payroll and Sales tax returns
• Prepare quarterly and annual tax projections
• Prepare write-ups and reconcile accounts
• Prepare adjusting journal entries, depreciation schedules and close books at year end
• Preparation of financial statements
• Respond to tax correspondences
• Perform special projects as needed

• Bachelors in Accounting or similar degree/BA/BS Degree in Accounting
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
• Confident, proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to multi-task
• Ability to deal with matters that carry a high degree of confidentiality
• Knowledge of Excel and Word a must
• Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
