Staff Accountant, Cash & Accounts Receivable
Job Description
Job Summary:Â
The Staff Accountant, Accounts Receivables will be responsible for the day-to-day cash and accounts receivable application operations and support the Manager and Director of Cash and Accounts Receivable.Â
Job Expectations:
- Meet or exceed productivity standards in the completion of daily and monthly assignments such as month end closing tasks.
- Work on various accounting related tasks in areas such as cash, debt, accruals and accounts receivable.Â
- Prepare journal entry posting and reconciliations.
- Prepare commission expense calculations.
- Work with the team and technical resources to identify, research and resolve mis-applied payments, cash application variances, aging inaccuracies, missing orders and any other issues that may arise.Â
- Clear orders, apply cash to customers and verify payment.Â
- Report and keep manager or team leader up to date on all relevant issues, escalating any issues as appropriate.
- Work closely with the manager or team leader in identifying issues or problems that might arise for solutions.
- Assist in audits and SOX compliance processes.Â

- Comfortable with a manual reconciliation process and a strong attention to detailÂ
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have a sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and analyze a high volume of accounts receivable activities
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet deadlines
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
 Equipment Knowledge
- Experience with SAPÂ preferred
- Experience with SQL is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or accounting.
- E-commerce experience is preferred.
Education Requirements:Â
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. CPA is preferred.
