Staff Accountant (Contractor)

The Accounting team is responsible for accurately recording and reporting all financial transactions necessary to issue US GAAP-compliant Financial Statements.  Accounting partners with all the various departments at iink to ensure that they are supported in their continued efforts to grow the iink brand. Additionally, the Finance team is made up of individuals who enjoy sharing expertise and developing others.

About the Role:

This is a contract role. As the Staff Accountant, you will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager. You will take ownership of our Revenue Accounting processes, which include but are not limited to preparing daily reconciliations of our various bank accounts to ensure proper accounting of the flow of funds, including revenue that may or may not need to be recognized; invoicing customers at month-end; assisting with collections, etc.

In this role, you will:

• Compile daily schedules of our cash activity to ensure transactions are properly identified. 
• Record the necessary Journal Entries to ensure the activity is reflected in our ERP.
• Issue customer invoices, as necessary.
• Process payments received from customers.
• Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
• Work closely on Collection efforts for accounts that are overdue.
• Partner with the Operations & Engineering team to improve process flows.
• Assist the Sr. Accounting Manager with ad-hoc requests to improve processes and documentation. 

About the Candidate:

• 2+ Years in Accounting, Audit, or relevant field.
• Must feel comfortable getting your hands dirty in order to create & improve processes.
• Must have strong Excel skills (sumif, vlookup, pivot tables).
• Must have a degree in Accounting.
• Preferred experience in Quickbooks and/or Netsuite

Potential pay range: $33 - $36 / hour
