Staff Accountant
The Opportunity
The Staff Accountant applies core accounting principles to support the accurate recording of financial information for UHP. This role plays a key part in daily accounting operations, account reconciliations, and overall support of the accounting function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions with accuracy and consistency
Process Accounts Payable, including invoice review and payment preparation
Manage customer receivables, including weekly collections
Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with general ledger entries and financial reporting
Respond to inquiries from vendors, internal teams, and external stakeholders in a professional manner
Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Education & Experience
Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
At least 1+ year years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related area
Experience in an accounting, billing, or student financials environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs required)
Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or HubSpot is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
