Staff Accountant II

Quanterix is a company that is digitizing biomarker analysis with the goal of advancing the science of precision health. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Staff Accountant Contractor to join our Finance team. 

What You’ll Do:

• Overall cash reconciliation and travel expense review and reporting
• Assist in the process & review of bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including special payments such as terminations, bonus and commission payments and leave of absences, etc. as needed
• Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables primarily relating to commissions, payroll, and equity (journal entries, reconciliations, reports), ensuring compliance with relevant SOX controls
• Manage day-to-day administration of the equity program including accurate and timely recording of new equity awards, exercises, new hires, terminations and releases for all employees and other equity holders
• Monitor third party platform for accuracy of all equity-related activity; interface with third-party on all matters related to administration of company stock plans
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as needed
• Assist with special projects, such as system enhancements, payroll conversions, etc.

What We’ll Expect From You: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business related field required, accounting preferred
• Minimum 2+ years relevant experience in accounting, including experience calculating commissions
• Strong Excel skills required (e.g. Pivot Table & VLOOKUP experience) and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data
• Experience working with third party stock administration platform
• Ability to handle extremely confidential information in an expeditious and discretionary manner
• Self-motivated; able to work independently and manage and prioritize conflicting demands on time
• Solid problem solving and attention to detail
• Ability to interface and effectively communicate with all levels of organization
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, HRIS systems and payroll systems
• Strong organization, ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.
• Capacity to work in a time-sensitive and high-volume environment.
