Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and accounting principles, with a particular focus on account reconciliation, and technical accounting. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while providing valuable insights into our financial operations. Responsibilities β€’ Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. β€’ Bank reconciliations β€’ Apply payments and reconcile customer and vendor account balances β€’ Experience using General Ledger and related Accounting software β€’ Prepare spreadsheets for various accounting analysis β€’ Verify and reconcile General Ledger account balances β€’ Assist with accounting reports and present their results β€’ Analyze financial information and summarize financial status β€’ Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions β€’ Assist with audit and tax return documentation requests β€’ Support month-end and year-end close process β€’ Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and efficiency β€’ Assist with counting and reconciling inventory Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is preferred. β€’ Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a related field, at least 2 years. β€’ Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables β€’ Familiarity with technical accounting standards and practices. β€’ Proficiency in accounting software applications; experience with SAP is a plus. β€’ Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. β€’ Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across departments.
