Position Summary The Staff Accountant / Income Auditor ensures the accuracy of daily revenue reporting, general ledger activity, and financial reconciliations while safeguarding the hotel’s assets. This role supports the Assistant Director of Finance and collaborates with operating departments to maintain compliance with policies, brand standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities · Audit daily revenue from Rooms, F&B, and other outlets for accuracy and policy compliance. · Reconcile postings, discounts, voids, rebates, and allowances; investigate discrepancies. · Prepare and distribute the Daily Revenue Report. · Audit cashier reports and deposits; ensure proper handling of cash and credit cards. · Reconcile key accounts (cash, deposits, credit cards, guest/city ledger), investigate and communicate discrepancies. · Reconcile state and local taxes and maintain records of tax exempt. · Prepare cash deposits and request change to maintain the cash machine. · Answer and assist with telephone inquiries in an efficient, courteous and professional manner, using correct telephone etiquette. · Handle gift card requests, prepare and mail gift card orders. · Prepare and balance daily employees tips & commissions. · Provide documentation for internal and external bi-annual audits. · Partner with Front Office, F&B, and other departments to resolve revenue issues. · Provide training on cashiering and revenue control procedures. · Perform any additional duties and responsibilities as requested by the Assistant DOF. Qualifications · Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience. · 2–3 years of accounting/audit experience (hospitality preferred). · Knowledge of USALI and hotel systems is an advantage. · Strong Excel and analytical skills; high attention to detail. · Integrity, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information. · Strong communication and teamwork skills. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment adhering to strict deadlines. · Flexibility for month-end close, audits, and peak business needs.
