Staff Accountant (Remote)

At ezCater, the Finance & Accounting teams drive financial strategy, orchestrate company-wide capital allocation processes and maintain a sound controllership environment that enables the successful growth of our business. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the day to day payment operations run smoothly while continually driving ideas for automation, efficiency, and improved internal controls to move the business forward.  

What You'll Do: 

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations as part of the corporate accounting team (Cash, daily credit card reconciliation, T&E, Corporate Credit Card spend, prepaid and accrued expenses)
• Assist with our Accounts Payable processes ensuring proper approvals and invoice coding within the general ledger, along with Vendor Master Data maintenance
• Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Learn our financial systems like the back of your hand
• Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Assist with external audits and implementation of internal control framework
• Other ad hoc duties as required

What You Have: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 2+ years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably in a publicly traded company or late stage startup
• Results oriented with an ability to work under tight deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel skills with working knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP system
• Experience with Braintree credit card processing, BILL, and/or Ramp preferred
• Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn
• Excellent communication and organization skills

The national cash compensation range for this role is $62,000 - $78,000* per year.

*Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as equity, 401K or medical, dental or vision insurance).
