Job Summary
Our growing family-owned business is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and producing timely financial reports. This is a full-time position located in Northfield, IL.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate books on accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure timely payment of accounts payable.
• Promptly collect accounts receivable.
• Complete bank reconciliations regularly.
• Generate financial reports on a periodic basis.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
· Process ACH pulls for leases and loan payments to banks .
· Assist in completing the monthly close process.
· Analyze information and processes to develop more effective and efficient processes and strategies.
· Collaborate with external auditors for the annual audit process.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to perform tasks for multiple entities.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Turbo lease) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience in tax preparation for multiple entities is required.
• Knowledge of equipment finance leasing processes is strongly preferred.
Experience
• Bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred)
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Certification in bookkeeping (e.g., CB, CPB) or equivalent experience.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
