Position Summary:

The position is responsible for assisting in the financial reporting, general ledger management, account reconciliation, cash application and cash management processes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Staff Accountant/Treasury position will assist in the following responsibilities:

• Financial record keeping and reporting systems.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements including trial balance, balance sheet, and profit/loss statements.
• Reconciliation to subsidiary records
• Preparation of monthly closing general ledger entries
• Preparation of reconciliations and follow-up on any unusual items.
• Collection and payment applications
• Preparation of securitization monthly reporting 
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High knowledge of Excel and the development of spreadsheets.
• Analytical and accounting skills.
• Ability to identify issues and resolve them independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient MS Word and MS Outlook.

Education and Experience:

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. Public accounting or private accounting with journal entry and general ledger experience. Minimum of two years of experience.
