Job Description
Team: IT
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff AI Engineer based in United States .
This role sits at the forefront of building next-generation AI-powered digital asset management systems that serve global enterprise customers. You will help design and scale agentic AI workflows that automate content understanding, retrieval, and transformation across complex enterprise environments. The work focuses on deeply integrating AI into production systems where reliability, governance, and performance are critical. You will contribute directly to high-impact architecture decisions while also shipping production-grade code in an AI-native engineering team. This is a highly hands-on senior engineering role combining systems design, LLM orchestration, and platform-scale implementation. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to shape the future of intelligent content systems. The environment is fast-moving, experimental, and grounded in real enterprise use cases.
Accountabilities:
Lead the design and development of production-grade AI systems powering enterprise digital asset management, focusing on scalability, reliability, and agentic orchestration.
- Build and ship production AI features daily, including workflows for auto-tagging, search, classification, and content intelligence.
- Architect multi-agent and stateful AI workflows using modern orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph and Temporal.
- Own AI observability, including evaluation, tracing, prompt management, and performance benchmarking using tools like LangFuse.
- Define engineering standards for LLM usage, RAG pipelines, prompt strategies, tool calling, and context optimization.
- Collaborate with product, platform, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable AI deployments.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI frameworks, models, and tooling to continuously improve system performance and capability.
- Mentor engineers through hands-on collaboration, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Contribute to customer-facing technical discussions, including system design reviews and roadmap alignment.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3+ years building production AI/agent-based systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and distributed system design.
- Proven expertise with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent tools.
- Experience building stateful, multi-agent, or workflow-driven AI systems at scale.
- Strong knowledge of RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval strategies.
- Experience with AI observability, evaluation pipelines, and prompt lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployments.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, testing practices, and production-grade engineering standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex AI systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in enterprise SaaS, CMS, or content-heavy platforms is a strong advantage.
- Competitive annual salary with equity opportunities (range: 180,000 – 200,000 USD equivalent)
- Fully remote work flexibility within North America
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off, parental leave, and wellness support programs
- Opportunities to work on cutting-edge AI agent systems at enterprise scale
- Strong engineering culture focused on autonomy, craftsmanship, and innovation
- Access to modern AI tooling and experimental development environments
- Career growth opportunities within a rapidly evolving AI product organization
