As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Linthicum, MD, you will have hands-on experience in development of sensor payloads and complete mission security solutions, which encompasses hardware and software security solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • SE Execution on real time embedded computer systems, software construction and decomposition, and GOTS/COTS processing environments.
  • Lead and build a team of technical engineers by mentoring, training, identifying and motivating the next generation to align efforts with overall organizational strategies to drive the organization forward.
  • Responsible for: Secure System Architectures, defining AT and system architectures, hardware-focused AT techniques and countermeasures, cryptographic security and advanced integrated circuit (IC) failure analysis tools and techniques
  • Works with advanced Microelectronic design and fabrication
  • Performs digital logic debug and analysis, generates AT Plans, derives and documents AT requirements for systems and strategically plans AT Technology development
  • Reverse engineers to architect and validate AT solutions
  • Prepares and presents briefings to internal and external programs and customers such as Tri-Service Committee, Red Team, ATEA, and V&V team to obtain AT approvals for US-deployed and exported military systems
  • Conducts AT Studies in accordance with Government and NGC processes including, trade studies, research areas, and detailed analysis of system design to include microelectronic implementation and software implementation as well as system integration, verification and validation, and cost and risk.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience, a Master's degree with 12 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 9 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields.
  • U.S. Citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain higher clearances involving CI polygraph.
  • Systems Engineering knowledge of military systems in one or more of the following areas: RF, Radar, EO/IR, Satellite, Sensors, Embedded software or hardware, Hardware design or system integration
  • Ability to travel occasionally CONUS and OCONUS

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degrees in Engineering, Software, or Science
  • Experience with Anti-Tamper, Reverse Engineering, or Cryptography
  • Experience in technical leadership role
  • Experience working with Government AT agencies
  • Demonstrably good writing skills; including peer reviewed published works

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $149,000.00 - $223,400.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.
