Staff Applied Research Scientist (Computer Vision)

About the Role

Dandy is hiring a team of top software engineers to build digital products and scale our managed marketplace. As one of Dandy's first engineers, you will play a key role in building our tech team. You'll constantly be challenged to learn new technologies, establish best practices, and be given the freedom to solve problems on your own and learn by doing.

We are creating next-generation experiences across the newly 3D-digitized dental stack, so our ML platform is critical to our success. As a Staff Research Scientist (Computer Vision), you will be key to the development of our platform to create next-level 3D intraoral scanning experiences, as well as helping automate our supply chain.

Relevant technologies: PyTorch, Tensorflow

What You'll Do

• Build CV models to extract structure from unstructured, information-dense 3D scans

• Work with product and research teams to identify opportunities for improvement in our current product line and for enabling upcoming product lines

• Work with massive datasets to develop both generic models as well as fine tune models for specific applications

• Be a representative for how to apply machine learning and related techniques throughout the engineering and product organization

• Work closely with product owners on a feature focused team to deliver value quickly to Dandy’s customers

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years experience, 4+ in ML

• Substantial experience with 2D Deep Learning

• Substantial experience with Computer Vision

• Experience with 3D Models

• Substantial experience with Pytorch and/or Tensorflow

• Needs to strike the right balance of generalist and researcher

• Have built ML models that made it into meaningful production

Compensation Range: $210K - $240K
