Staff Associate - Stress

Job Description

• Use analysis software, such as ANSYS, to analyze the structural integrity of static and rotating Aerospace engine hardware.
• Use analysis software to mesh and solve 2D and 3D models.
• Complete modal and forced harmonic analysis.
• Analyze stress changes due to defects that may result from field or manufacturing issues.
• Use proprietary lifing software to determine Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) and Fracture Mechanics Life (FM Life)
• Read Aerospace drawings and specifications to understand material properties and defect descriptions.
• Write technical summaries of analysis findings to provide to customer.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and discussions (Design, Structures, Project)
• Due to ITAR Restrictions, US Citizen or Green Card Holder requirement.

Preferred Experience and Skills

(on the job training will be provided for proprietary software and processes)

• Microsoft office - PowerPoint for Redline Creation and Outlook for requests
• Experience with CAD software - Solidworks, UG/ NX
• ANSYS software
• Reading technical prints
• Teamcenter
• P&W ESW Application
• Technical writing and documentation
• GD&T
• Strong communication and collaboration
• Python coding or other coding languages
• 2+ years of experience required.
