Staff Backend Software Engineer

What we're looking for:

• 10+ years of hands-on development experience
• Experience in Java or other Object Oriented languages
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores and message brokers
• Proven track record of providing consistent data delivery and quality at scale
• Strong communication skills and experience working across multiple teams
• An appetite to learn the craft of software development and data engineering
• Proven interests in OJO and attention to detail. Please put “Ada Lovelace” in your resume or your cover letter
• Proven track record of building development teams through mentoring and coaching and guiding
• Ability to balance long term architectural vision with immediate business needs
• Computer Science or other technical degree (or equivalent job experience)

Nice to Haves:

• Experience working with Data Science teams
• Experience building maintainable systems supported by automated tests
• Experience with Kotlin, GRPC and RabbitMQ
• Experience with DynamoDB, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and Spark
