Job Description
Mozilla is looking to fill a Staff Business Analyst position with the Mozilla IT & Engineering Operations team. You will be reporting to Senior Manager, Projects and Portfolio Management. Together, we will drive global multi-functional efforts with geographically dispersed team members and will be responsible for developing and leading efforts, ensuring project work and business objectives are met. To succeed, our main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.. More broadly, you will help surprise and delight Mozillians, both internal and external!
Scope of work and responsibilities include:- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and define and implement solutions.
- Proactively find opportunities for process automation, optimization, and standardization of business processes
- Review and analyze existing data and data collection systems and recommend improvements to current processes
- Facilitate sessions with diverse groups of stakeholders to reach a common understanding.
- Analyze, document, and validate business requirements as required, work with vendors and business partners to coordinate interlock and status updates across multiple businesses and delivery teams
- Interface between business and technical teams to translate requirements.
- Drive and document project solution discussions. Document and Communicate the results of these efforts.
- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
- Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field or an MBA.
- 5+ years of business analysis experience or experience in a related field.
- Experienced in working with different Project management methodologies and ability to adapt between them
- Evidence of well-defined analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and conceptual thinking skills.
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders of various levels within the organization.
- Experience working with data to analyze, process, understand, interpret and predict patterns in business processes
- Advanced technical and documenting skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and proactively propose ideas.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize projects to meet tight timelines.
