Staff C++ Developer

Tasks include developing C++ plugins and integrating DoD M&S tools into a digital engineering framework.

The successful candidate for this position will have a strong passion for Mission Engineering and the national security domain, strong software engineering skills, and the ability to generate solutions for customers' problems. Ideal candidates have experience developing plugins for the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) and significant experience in modeling scenarios. You will be a key member of a team that is developing Digital Engineering simulation tools and technologies for the Department of Defense.

Staff C++ Developer Position Requirements:

• US Citizenship (Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information)
• Bachelor's with 5-7 yrs. of relevant work experience, Master's with 3-5 yrs. of experience or PhD with 1-3 years experience in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated experience with modern C++ and comfortable implementing quick-turnaround, proof of concept solutions in that ecosystem
• Familiarity with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)
• Team player with excellent communication skills

Staff C++ Developer Preferences:

• Experience developing AFSIM plugins

• Familiarity with commercial MBSE, CAD, or PLM software, especially developing plugins to extend the functionality
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS)
• Existing DoD security clearance
