We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Database Reliability Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. What You’ll Do and How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead and influence database migrations, blue/green deployments, and data archiving and partitioning strategies.
• Improve our database security posture with least privilege principles, auditing capabilities, and facilitate database access and governance.
• Mentor and guide engineers in delivering purpose-built database solutions (Relational, Key Value, Document) that fit requirements.
• Accelerate operations and enhance our observability/alerting capabilities by designing and implementing self-healing and automated solutions.
• Research solutions to complex problems and drive proof-of-concepts.
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base through high-quality documentation.
• Deliver quality solutions/processes through CI/CD and automation.

What You’ll Need

• 3+ years of experience with both MySQL and MongoDB.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Programmable Infrastructure) using tools like TerraForm, AWS CDK, etc.
• Hands-on knowledge of software containerization platforms like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience in scripting/automation tooling (bash/python or Ansible).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of data structures and experience handling large data sets.
• Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex ideas to a technical audience.
• Experience working in a distributed team is an asset.
• Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas and Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL is an advantage.
