Staff Data Scientist, eComm Applied Science

Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Are you a full stack data scientist who has the passion to evolve and redefine customer experience with the power of the world's largest omni-retail data? The staff data scientist is a critical role in the eComm ATP Applied Science team to lead our Data Insights pillar. In this role, you will be able to iterate on our data strategy, transform model and analytic insights into actionable business strategies, and build the one-of-a-kind real time feature store that ingest, model, and analyze massive flows of data. This is a high visibility, high impact role in a rapidly growing data science team that uses cutting edge technologies in AI/ML to drive engagement, conversion, and to get our customers the perfect orders.
You'll sweep us off our feet if:

• You have strong hands-on skills in sourcing, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large volumes of data using distributed computing platform.
• You have strong implementation experience with at least one programming language (Python, R, Java, Scala, etc.).
• You have strong written and oral communication skills.
• You're experienced with classical as well as modern machine learning/statistical techniques, including Regression, Classification, Ensemble Methods, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning.
• You have a graduate degree in statistics, computer science, econometrics or other related fields.

You'll make an impact by:

• Process complicated and large-scale datasets on distributed computing platforms using queries, extract insights from data, predict future trends, and optimize business metrics.
• Experiment and process large scale e-Commerce datasets using distributed computing platform, mining insights from data, discover and build models that optimize towards various business goals and metrics.
• Build compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards for monitoring.
• Work closely with business leaderships, product managers and system engineers to rapidly turn hypotheses into outcomes.
