Staff Education Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the Director of Staff Education orients and educates the nursing staff by providing new hire nursing orientation and resuscitation courses through the American Heart Association.
• Represents administration in the overall management of the hospital, in the absence of nursing administration and managers.
• Participates as a member of the Nursing Management team.
• Provides supervision to clinical staff in the provision of patient care.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• B.S. in Nursing required; M.S. in Nursing or related field required or in process.
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Five years of clinical experience.
• Demonstrated ability in leadership skills, clinical skills, communication skills and professional creativity.
• Experience in teaching/mentoring required.
