In this role, you will collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to build a best-in-class experience for our Contentful Studio customers. You will help enhance a unique frontend architecture that enables the rapid creation of frontend experiences for non technical users by designing and delivering performant, maintainable, and scalable features and services. Work across multiple teams helping guide technical excellence and facilitating the growth and development of engineers.

What to expect?

• Work with multiple teams on complex challenges that enable our customer developers to build experience creation platforms that empower their digital teams.
• Collaborate closely with other product, design, and engineering leaders to shape the long term vision of the Studio product
• Collaborate with other teams across Contentful to connect Contentful Studio to the entire product experience
• Collaborate with other staff engineers on high level architecture topics and technical alignment
• Leverage AI to rapidly innovate and deliver near infinite personalization
• Mentor and guide engineers to build quality, scalable code
• Develop innovative new features for Contentful Studio 
• Build a deep understanding of our customers to improve onboarding, adoption, and usage of Studio

What do you need to be successful?

• Strong product oriented thinking, able to keep the customer and the business needs in mind while thinking deeply about implementation.
• Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript application development, including asynchronous programming, Promises, ES6, and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of React is ideal and knowledge of additional frameworks is desirable.
• Knowledge of functional programming principles is a plus
• Have strong teamwork skills, open to diverse opinions, and can give reasons for your technical decisions.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

Nice to have:

• Experience with no-code page building products
• Experience with content management systems or organizations with sophisticated content operations

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: $212,000 - $232,000
[This position is eligible for equity awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s equity plans.]
