Here's the Gist:
The primary focus of this position is to support the development and characterization of new Power products in Wolfspeed's NPTI portfolio. This role will involve strong partnership with R&D and Operations to ensure new products are optimized and characterized for both performance and manufacturability. You will shape the future of our new product offerings by partnering with test, process, and product/applications engineering across the globe to window processes, conduct gage R&Rs, validate specs, and ramp each new product from design to HVM.
The Day-to-Day
- Set-up process flows and disposition wafers to support NPI qualification
- Work closely with R&D to assess manufacturability of new design specs
- Analyze data to support, identify, and validate spec limits to ensure robust NPI yields
- Ensure TDI and packager processes are well characterized and ready for post-fab manufacturing before production handoff
- Document manufacturing process flows, FMEAs, control plans, test/inspection requirements
- Participate in product development and qualification reviews to ensure design for manufacturability best practices are followed
- Standardize process / tests to improve the manufacturability of NPTI portfolio
- Support program risk reviews and root cause analysis to reinforce first time qualification success
- Partner with planning and manufacturing organizations to validate capacity models
- Identify and drive improvements in manufacturability, yield, performance, and reliability in our power NTI portfolio
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Experience supporting the introduction and ramp of new power products
- Background in DFMY, DOE, SPC, JMP, pFMEA, MSA, and failure analysis
- Attention to detail and ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines
- This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations
