Staff Engineer, Cloud Platforms (remote)

Job Summary: In the role of Staff Cloud Platform Engineer at Estee Lauder Companies Online (ELC Online), you will have the opportunity to work on our global platform, collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals in a fun and collaborative culture. You will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of CI/CD, application architecture definition, and design. Responsibilities:

Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure

• Work in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust cloud solutions.

• Lead the design, engineering, integration, and enhancements of Agile and DevOps enablement tools and applications using Site Reliability and DevOps principles.

• Integrate, configure, document, and deploy compliant infrastructure and supporting services in the Cloud platform.

• Design, optimize, and document the operational aspects of the Cloud platform.

• Troubleshoot problems and fix bugs.

• Collaborate with Risk Management to ensure necessary controls for Cloud services are deployed and tested.

• Migrate complex, multi-tier applications from on-premises to AWS, selecting appropriate AWS services to design and deploy applications based on given requirements.

• Understand the application stack, including Terraform, Elixir, React, and Drupal

Lead and Mentor

• Lead, prioritize, and deliver multiple concurrent software development projects.

• Lead and mentor team members on DevOps practices.

• Reduce toil, increase automation, evaluate new technologies, and explore their applicability to address new requirements.

Cloud and DevOps Expertise:

• Work with AWS services, including EC2, EKS, API GW, RDS, and SQS.

• Build, deploy, and maintain container images using Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS.

• Apply DevOps practices and Site Reliability Engineering processes and tools.

• Knowledge in management and configuration of GitHub actions, Cockroach DB, and Kubernetes

• Proficiency in one of the popular scripting languages (Python, Bash).

• Solid understanding of source control systems (Git, Subversion).

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• 4+ years of experience configuring, building, and deploying applications into the cloud (AWS, DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Terraform).

• Minimum 4 years of experience as SRE, Infra, DevOps, or Platform Engineer.

• Strong problem-solving skills, soft skills, quality, and delivery mindset.

• Strong sense of personal accountability.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,500 to $182,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
