Summary
The Digital Healthcare Engineering group of Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) is looking for a Staff Engineer, Mixed Signal Design Verification. An ideal candidate would be interested in functioning an individual contributor on projects leading the DV efforts. Digital Healthcare's charter is to invent new systems that capture clinical-grade data, extract patient insights, and deliver life-saving healthcare solutions for all.
Our growing design team is expanding our product portfolio working on medical ultrasound, digital X-ray, CT Imaging (traditional and photon counting). We are also exploring future application spaces such as heart catheters, MRI, and novel Biochips.
Mixed Signal Design Verification Engineers serve a critical function ensuring the analog and digital environments of our multichannel products work seamlessly together. Our product portfolio consists of many custom mixed signal chips with high channel count. Verification at the top level and verifying systems settings is crucial to a successful product.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop verification plans, and all necessary tools and scripts to write, execute and debug tests, employ assertions testing against specification and models
- Develop test bench environments and directed functional, random, and constrained random tests. Implement coverage driven verification methodologies. Create functional coverage metrics. Ensure these environments allow verification, design, product, and test engineers to efficiently develop functional test cases.
- Define block and chip level verification strategies based on design requirements and architecture
- Specify, and perform as necessary, block and chip level RTL, gate, and mixed signal co-simulation regressions. Track progress against verification plan
- Work with designers and product/apps engineers to achieve functional coverage goals and to debug the design and environment
- Assess new tools and methods to improve existing verification methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers
- Coordinate, document, and report on all aspects of the verification tasks in all phases of the project. Participate in project meetings
- Electrical Engineering degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in mixed signal design verification
- Advanced knowledge of standard ASIC verification flows including testbench development using UVM methodology, mixed signal co-simulation, assertions, power gating and low power methodologies, functional pattern generation for post silicon testing
- Strong knowledge of full chip and block level testbench automation, bug tracking, and regression mechanisms
- Excellent knowledge of Verilog and System Verilog required. Experience in mixed signal co-simulation techniques and languages desired
- Experience with scripting languages
- Experience in chip top level integration
- Strong CAD background
- Candidates should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects as required
- Strong inter-personal, teamwork and communication skills are required
