JOB SUMMARY

You will be part of the fast-moving innovation team. You will be often accountable for the achievement of key goals and will often lead / play a key role in team initiatives. Your work will influence product development, roadmap and strategy.

• This is your opportunity to generate new and novel ideas that can lead to innovative product proposals. • Understanding the competitive technology landscape will involve using internal research tools and external venues such as trade shows and conferences.• Work with Marketing, MMS leadership and the greater BD R&D organization to identify new or previously not serviced target areas providing new opportunity for BD products and services.• You will work on the development of rapid proof of concept development.• You will participate in assessing technologies and products of interest to BD as part of due diligence activities.• You will generate IP proactively as a part of the innovation activities• You will support adoption of new technologies and develop these within the greater MMS R&D organization.

The Staff Engineer, Product Innovation will be responsible to bring broad technology depth to the innovation team by demonstrating specific and an advanced set of skills and knowledge in one or more areas of expertise. You will be often viewed as a thought leader in specific areas.

This will include:

• Developing rapid POC's
• Creating innovative solutions.
• Prototyping user interfaces and workflows
• Critically assess 3rd party software solutions incl technical due diligences.
• Support generation of software and hardware IP
• Broad understanding and competency in engineering and 1st principles.
• Development of algorithms, patient models and simulators.
• Document and effectively communicate across cross functional teams.
• Work with the team and work autonomously as needed.
• Working understanding of device and systems architecture
• Work with both mechanical and electrical systems
• Hands-on technical development of software, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Provide SME consulting, and R&D functional lead mentoring on critical development projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

$121,100.00 - $199,800.00
