Job Description:

Implement proof-of-concept prototypes for fast iterative testing. Solve tough engineering problems in unexplored/unconstrained domains such as robotics, AR/VR, health, autonomous systems, etc. Maintain constant awareness of new toolkits, libraries, data sets, APIs, web services as they emerge. Collaborate with other researchers, engineers and designers to integrate cutting-edge functionality into novel prototypes for new product concepts, core-technologies that will bring new business opportunities to Samsung. Work with Android, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, and Python. Write robust and re-useable code following best coding practices with the proper documentation. Rapidly prototype using UI libraries across multiple platforms (particularly Android and web technologies). Create back-end services and/or platforms that can be leveraged by user-facing applications and other services (NodeJS, Flask, etc.).

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent
• 5+ years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in domain applications including wearable devices, sensors, digital health, robotics, consumer electronics products and appliances
• Experience must include: using Java, Python, C and C++
• Android development using Java and Kotlin
• Android low level development using NDK
• Cloud application development (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Developing client/Server based applications
• Developing web based applications; using computer vision libraries including OpenCV
• Using AR based SDK, including ARCore or ARKit
• Using machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow, pyTorch and Caffe
• Development of machine learning, computer vision and augmented reality applications for mobile devices
• Using different sensors including stereo cameras, depth cameras, and IMU.
