Staff Firmware Engineer

Opportunity: Our client is currently seeking a Staff Firmware Engineer with experience in Motor Control to join their team.

Requirements: You have at least 5+ years of experience with firmware development from cradle to grave in the defense and consumer electronics industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement motor control algorithms for various applications.
• Aid in the creation of SITL/HITL test fixtures
• Establish foundational infrastructure to facilitate safety-critical systems
• Conduct simulation and modeling for motor control systems
• Design and implement testing protocols for motor control firmware
• Create motion control systems for precision actuators and electric propulsion

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• At least 5 years of experience in firmware development for motor control systems
• Proficient in C programming language
• Strong understanding of digital signal processing and control theory
• Familiarity with embedded systems tools such as, compilers, debuggers, etc.
• Familiarity with power electronics and motor control hardware
• Experience in robotics, automation, motor control, and sensor fusion
• ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
